Cancellation Policy

4.1. Right to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription or service at any time, subject to the terms outlined in this policy.

4.2. How to Cancel

Cancellations can be made through:

• In-App: Navigate to Account Settings > Subscriptions > Cancel Subscription
• Email: Send cancellation request to fans@hangukverse.com
• Website: Login to your account and access subscription management

4.3. Cancellation Effective Date

• Immediate Cancellation: Access to paid features ends immediately; no refund for remaining period (unless required by law)
• End of Billing Period: Subscription continues until the end of current billing cycle, then auto-renewal is disabled (default option)

4.4. EU/UK Consumer Rights

14-Day Cooling-Off Period: EU and UK consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To exercise this right:

• Notify us of your decision to cancel before the 14-day period expires
• If service has commenced during the cooling-off period with your express consent, you may be charged for services provided up to cancellation

4.5. Subscription Cancellations

Auto-Renewal: All subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation Notice Period: You should cancel at least 24 hours before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.

Post-Cancellation Access: After cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.

4.6. Free Trial Cancellations

• Free trials can be cancelled at any time during the trial period
• If not cancelled before trial expires, you will be automatically charged for the subscription
• Cancel at least 24 hours before trial end date to avoid charges

4.7. Account Deletion

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account. To delete your account and all associated data:

• Submit a deletion request via Account Settings or email fans@hangukverse.com
• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• We will process deletion requests within 30 days (or as required by applicable law)

4.8. Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation:

• You will no longer be charged for subscription fees
• Access to premium features will cease (either immediately or at period end)
• Your data will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations
• You may lose access to user-generated content associated with premium features

4.9. Cancelled by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or suspend your subscription if:

• You violate these Terms and Conditions
• Your payment method fails
• We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice and prorated refund)
• We suspect fraudulent activity

4.10. No Penalty Fees

We do not charge penalty fees for cancellations, except where services have been rendered or were permitted by applicable law.
